During the 2020 Covid pandemic and the upheaval that surrounded it, we as his grand parents looked after them while there was not school to go to. During that time I had the opportunity to spend some time with Noah and music. I turns out that he had written a song during the Easter holidays. Not sure what encouraged him to write it, but the lyrics might answer that question for you the listener.
At that time, Noah was an eleven year old Year 6 student at St Joseph’s Primary School in Gayndah and given that he was with us all of each day during the lock down, we were able to work together to make a recording of the song happen. Noah wrote the lyrics, melody and the chord progression and we worked on the guitar solo and other guitar parts together.
Guitarists will note the triads and pentatonic scale in the solo. Simple but it works quite well. He sang all of the parts except the harmony. I used apps on the computer to make that work. It was recorded on May 7, 2020.
Have a listen to the song. It still works well even though it was recorded more that five years ago.
